O'Leary's Sportsbar & Grill @ The Singapore Flyer (20/11/11)

Venue: O'Leary's Sportsbar & Grill @ The Singapore Flyer
Date: 20/11/11
Theme: Vintage Sweetness
Bride & Groom: Ziyan & Rein

As usual checking my mails on my trusty lappie on 21/09 when I received a email from Ziyan. She was very interested in our Blissful Romance Package. More details on the package can be found here: http://www.florist.sg/wedding-decoration-packages/rom-wedding-decor-packages/blissful-romance-sweet-surreal/

Her big day is on the super duper hot date: 20/11/2011! Immediately do a quick check and realised that we have already 6 confirmed weddings on the day itself already!

After numerous phonecalls/emails to and fro, we found out that we were unable to take up her wedding as the setup required customisation which we fear we might not be able to cater due to manpower and resources issues.

Sent her an email on the 3/10 to inform her that we were unable to take up her wedding. Right after that we received an email from her. She told us that she was very keen in having us as her wedding florist. She loved our birdcages and Vintage Sweetness Theme very much and really hoped to engage our services.

Not wanting to disappoint her, we decided to give her a call to see how we can assist in her wedding decor setup. We were told that we can go in as early as 8am to the restaurant for the setup (the only slot we are still available).

It seems to be the only option but definitely not the best idea as her event is in the noon. Her theme which is Vintage Sweetness consists of white hydrangea which is very delicate and might not be able to last till her event.
Check out Wedding Bouquet (Vintage Sweetness) for the photo.

After much discussion with our internal team, we decided to provide her with the setup one day before her event which is on the 19/11. We will delivered her fresh flowers items/decor on the day itself.

19/11 arrived and we were over at O'Leary's Sportsbar & Grill for the setup. Met up with Ivy(bride's coordinator) and Rein(Groom) and started with the setup.

Faced quite a few problems during the setup. One main problem will be the type of chairs used for the solemnisation setup.

Chairs provided by the restaurant are shown above which are either not appropriate or doesn't really match well with our decor.

Took sometime to spoke with the manager before they provided us with better quality tall chairs which are very matching to our theme. Yea!!!

The next day, 20/11 soon arrived and our staffs delivered promptly to their venue.
It was a pretty tiring yet fulfilling day for all of us as we setup close to 10 wedding events. We were glad that everything went on smoothly without any hiccups.

Indeed it is true that wedding florists get to have lots of business on this super hot dates. But what is more valuable is the happiness we brought to our couples as well as the satisfactions when we received emails from our couples thanking us.

We did not managed to capture any shots for this event as we were all tied up but we received a email on the 16/12 from the bride (Ziyan) with all the precious moments captured!
